Don't you see that children are God's best gift? The fruit of the womb his generous legacy? Like a warrior's fistful of arrows are the children of a vigorous youth. Oh, how blessed are you parents, with your quivers full of children! Your enemies don't stand a chance against you; you'll sweep them right off your doorstep. Psalms 127:3 (The Message)

What do you think?
Let me hear from you for a bit...I'm starting to feel all alone on my blog. Are you reading it? Do you agree with any of it? Share a cool website, scripture or tell a funny story. What do you think is important when it comes to raising godly children? Looking forward to hearing from you!
Apologies
Let's try to model this one for our kids.
It amazes me how many adults do not know how to apologize or even how to receive one.
It is so important for our children to understand that a true apology takes guts. We have to swallow our pride and eat some humble pie to apologize. No one likes to admit that they are wrong or that they made a mistake...but a person with good character will do it as soon as they realize an apology is necessary.
Remind them that sometimes their apology will not be accepted and that they cannot control how the other person acts.
Let your children see you make an apology...to your spouse or friend. The best lesson of all is to apologize to our children when we need to. I know we have all been grumpy, overreacted or said something we wish we had not. Apologizing to our children will reinforce what we are trying to teach them. They do what we do, more than what we say.
If you need to apologize to someone...do it...you will feel so much better. If someone comes to you to apologize...accept it. It took a lot for them to come to you. It says a great deal about their character as well.
http://www.perfectapology.com/ is worth checking out. Do you have an article, verse or website to help us all out when it comes to apologies?
