False Teachers

Did you know that studies show that nearly half
of all Christians who enter college will renounce their faith before they
graduate? And did you know that the majority of those who remain Christians end
up adopting anti-Christian beliefs along side their
faith?
(resource: Summit Ministries) Doctrinal Statement ~ so you can see what they believe.
Check out the curriculum that you can use with your church or family. (here)
Blessings to you as you train your children in the way they should go.

    jennifer,

interesting stats. i wonder if this is about education though. there is a generational angst amongst young adults that seems to include non college bounds as well. in my context it is sailors in the navy. but then when children come along, folks tend to waddle back to church...just some thoughts.

  2. I think you are right, it is about education. When kids enter college (or life...in general)they are introduced to so many other religions, sociology/anthropology courses and new age teachings that it can be overwhelming. It is confusing if they are not grounded from the beginning.

I went through a period of time where I questioned things as well. Did I believe because my parents said so, or because the truth was revealed to me by God?

Fortunately, God was there when I began to search. His words in the Bible and His "very real" presence in my life made my relationship with God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit stronger than ever. I am so thankful that He protected me during that time.

I also thank my parents for praying over me. They were strong for me when I was weak. Their prayers sustained me and kept me protected during those time of uncertainty in my spiritual life.

So, ending on that...we as parents need to be the ones education our children about the other religions and why they are false and misleading.

Having children does bring people back to their roots. It is an overwhelming task to raise a child and so important to lead them in the way everlasting.

Only through Christ is there true joy, peace and forgiveness.

I miss you guys...I enjoy a good discussion like this. Thanks.

May your ministry be blessed and may God carry you as you and your sweet family as you serve Him.
